What is a Traffic Light Party? It's a playful game around Valentine's Day where each guest has to dress in colors to represent their status.

Green: Single, looking to meet someone.
Yellow: Single, just there for a good time, etc. etc..
Red: Taken, not looking to hook up.
 
This is a very popular game in Brazil.
 
The Brazilian Carnival in Rio, Brazil is an annual festival that takes place four days before Ash Wednesday, which is described as the beginning of the 40 days fast, called lent. The reason of the carnival is to bid farewell to some pleasures of the flesh. The carnival in Brazil is a little different from its counterparts in Europe because it has a mixture of the Europe and African fundamentals. So much so that even the music, rhythm, and costume, changes a bit from one region of Brazil to the other.

The modern carnival originated in the year 1641, it was actually a mimicry of the European style of having fun. However, over the years, it refrained itself and took inputs from different cultures like Europe, North America and Africa.
 
Since all the carnival in the world started from Europe, and we love to celebrate European culture a lot - this is your chance to be yourself and party like Brazilians do! You are all invited to expereice the music of the best band Carnival band in Boston - Marcus Santos and Bloco AfroBrazil!
 
Carnival in Brazil is one of the largest holidays of the year, when Brazilians come to celebrate their culture, music and dance! Brazilians prepare their carnival costumes 6-8 months in advance before the carnaval! This is your chance to experience it all in one night - learn to samba, dance to the drums of Macos Santos band, dress to impress - wear masks, hats, feathers - or nothing - thats the fun spirit of carnival!
